Custom Wardrobes and Walk-in Closets in Klaipėda

We make custom wardrobes to order: sliding and hinged wardrobes, walk-in closets, hallway and bedroom storage systems. Each wardrobe is designed for the alcove, the ceiling height and what you need to store, and made in our workshop in Klaipėda.

Built-in cabinets and open shelving made to the alcove.

What we make

  • Sliding-door wardrobes – wall to wall and floor to ceiling, with aluminium or concealed tracks, mirrored, glass or painted doors.
  • Hinged-door wardrobes – with solid-wood, veneered or painted MDF doors, classic or flat design.
  • Walk-in closets – open or closed systems with shelves, drawers, rails, shoe and accessory sections.
  • Hallway wardrobes – with a seat, shoe boxes, a mirror and space for outerwear.
  • Alcove and attic wardrobes – adapted to sloping ceilings, columns and non-standard openings.
  • Wardrobes for children's rooms and offices – for documents, toys and seasonal items.

Custom wardrobes and standard ones

A custom wardrobe is made exactly to the alcove. A standard wardrobe rarely uses the whole space: gaps remain at the ceiling, along the walls or around services. A made-to-measure wardrobe means:

  • the full height and width are used and no corner is out of reach;
  • the interior is planned around your belongings – long and short hanging zones, drawers, shelves, baskets;
  • fronts match the other furniture, doors and floors;
  • hardware is chosen for how intensively it will be used.

Materials and hardware

Carcasses are laminated board or plywood; fronts are painted MDF, natural veneer, solid wood (oak, ash, walnut, pine, alder), HPL, glass and mirrors (clear, tinted, antique). Metal details are black steel, stainless steel, brass or aluminium. For sliding-door systems, hinges and drawer runners we use proven manufacturers' hardware with soft-close mechanisms. Integrated LED lighting with sensors is available.

How we work

Measurement

We visit the site in Klaipėda or nearby towns, measure the alcove and check wall and ceiling evenness and the position of services. For clients in other Lithuanian cities, measurement is arranged individually.

Drawings

We prepare the wardrobe drawing with the interior layout, door division and material specification, and give you the final price and lead time.

Production and installation

We make the wardrobe in our workshop at Mainų g. 15, Klaipėda, then deliver and install it on site and adjust the doors and drawers.

Wardrobes together with other furniture

Wardrobes are often ordered together with other furniture for the same interior – kitchen furniture, bedroom chests, living-room cabinet furniture or bathroom furniture. When everything is made in one workshop, materials, colours and hardware match throughout the apartment or house. For hotels, offices and other commercial spaces we make wardrobes and cloakrooms to the site's requirements – see furniture for commercial spaces.

Interior layout

We plan the interior before the doors. First we find out how many long and short garments you have, how many shelves and drawers you need, and whether bedding, suitcases, an ironing board or a vacuum cleaner will be stored. We combine the following as needed:

  • Hanging zones – for short garments (about 100 cm high) and long ones (from 140 cm); two rails one above the other double the capacity.
  • Drawers – for T-shirts, underwear, accessories; with dividers, glass or leather-lined bases.
  • Shelves – adjustable height, 35–40 cm deep for folded clothes.
  • Shoe section – angled or pull-out shelves in 15–20 cm rows.
  • Extras – trouser racks, tie and belt holders, pull-out mirrors, ironing boards, laundry baskets, pull-down rails for high zones.
  • Lighting – LED strips with motion or door sensors lighting rails and shelves.

Door types and fronts

  • Top-hung sliding doors – the doors hang from the top profile and the bottom track only guides them; easier to clean, quieter.
  • Bottom-rolling sliding doors – a reliable, more economical option for heavier mirrored or glass doors.
  • Hinged doors – 110° soft-close hinges, up to 260 cm high; handleless (push-to-open) or with a handle profile.
  • Folding (bi-fold) doors – open the full width of the wardrobe; suit walk-in closets and alcoves.
  • Front materials – painted MDF (matt, gloss, routed), veneer, solid wood, laminated board, HPL, glass (lacquered, tinted, frosted), mirror (clear, bronze, graphite, antique), fabric- or leather-covered panels.

Wardrobes by room

Bedroom

Usually a wall-to-wall wardrobe with sliding or hinged doors, sometimes combined with a chest of drawers or dressing table in the same material. Next to the bed we can build a wardrobe system with a niche for the headboard.

Hallway

A hallway wardrobe has to hold outerwear, shoes and small items. We often design a closed section with doors, an open hanging zone for guests, a shoe box with a bench and a mirror in one unit.

Walk-in closet

In a separate room or a partitioned part of the bedroom we install open systems with shelves, rails and drawer blocks, often without doors – the room looks larger and everything is visible at once. Glass partitions or closed sections can be added.

Children's room and office

For children – wardrobes with adjustable rails that move as the child grows. For offices – document cabinets, staff cloakrooms and alcove systems with lockable doors.

Before you enquire

  • Measure the alcove width at three heights (bottom, middle, top) and the ceiling height at several points.
  • Mark switches, sockets, radiators and skirting boards – they determine whether the wardrobe can stand flush against the wall.
  • Note which way the room door opens and how much space there is in front of the wardrobe.
  • If you want a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe, tell us whether the ceiling is stretch, plasterboard or concrete – this determines the fixing.

Locations

Most wardrobes are installed in Klaipėda, Palanga, Kretinga, Gargždai and the Klaipėda district. We also make and install wardrobes in Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai and other Lithuanian cities. Examples are under private projects.

Frequently asked questions

How much do custom wardrobes cost?

The price depends on the wardrobe dimensions, door type, front material and interior fittings. We give a preliminary price from your alcove dimensions and a final one after measurement and approval of the drawings.

Sliding or hinged – which should I choose?

Sliding doors suit rooms with little space in front of the wardrobe or very wide wardrobes. Hinged doors show the whole interior at once and are more common in classic interiors. We help you decide based on the room and your habits.

Can a wardrobe go right up to the ceiling?

Yes. We measure the ceiling height at several points and design the wardrobe so that no gap remains or it is covered by a trim.

Do you make walk-in closets without doors?

Yes. We make open walk-in systems, partitions and closed closets with doors, depending on the room and the need.

Do you install wardrobes in other cities?

Yes. Production is in Klaipėda; delivery and installation are arranged throughout Lithuania.
